This page explains how to request deletion of data that Elephant Room Consulting Pty Ltd (Elephant Room, we, us) holds about your business or your advertising accounts — including data accessed by our advertising-automation tooling via the Meta Marketing API, the Pinterest Marketing API, and equivalent platform APIs. Our full data-handling detail is in our Privacy Policy; this page is the practical guide to deletion.

What data we hold

Through our tooling we access ad campaign metadata, aggregate performance metrics, and account activity logs from advertising platforms on behalf of our clients. We do not access or store personal information about individual end users, Facebook users, Instagram users, Pinterest users, audience members, leads, or other identifiable consumers.

Path 1: Revoke our access at the platform

Meta — in Meta Business Manager (business.facebook.com) → Business settings, locate our application under your connected Apps (it appears as Elephant Room Marketing) and remove it. Removing Elephant Room as an agency partner also revokes access.

Pinterest — in your Pinterest Business account → Settings → Connected apps (or Business access), remove Elephant Room's connected application. Removing our partner access also revokes access.

Revoking access stops any further data retrieval. To delete records we have already stored, use Path 2.

Path 2: Email us to request deletion

  1. Email data@elephantroom.com.au with a subject line indicating the platform — "Meta Data Deletion Request", "Pinterest Data Deletion Request", or "Data Deletion Request" for any other data. A different subject line is fine as long as the body makes the request clear.
  2. Include your relevant account identifier (such as your Meta Business Manager ID or Pinterest advertiser/ad-account ID) and the name of the business the request relates to.
  3. We will sever the platform connection within seven (7) days and purge stored records from our primary systems within thirty (30) days. Backups on a short rolling cycle, and information that has been aggregated or de-identified, may persist for the periods described in our Privacy Policy.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

We do not charge a fee for a deletion request. If you have an active engagement with us when you make the request, deletion may affect our ability to keep providing services; we will contact you to confirm before proceeding, and the timelines above run from your confirmation.

Who can submit a request

Deletion requests must come from the account owner or an authorised representative of the client. We take reasonable steps to verify your identity, proportionate to the sensitivity of the information — usually by confirming the request comes from an email address we already hold for you. Requests from anyone else are referred to the verified account holder, and we will not confirm whether we hold information about a business until we have authenticated the requester's authority.

Access and correction

You can also ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you under Australian Privacy Principles 12 and 13 — email privacy@elephantroom.com.au with the subject line "Privacy Request". For the full description of these rights and how to complain, see our Privacy Policy.
